Campus Portfolio

While you may have already read about my campus involvement, I also wanted to include a section that featured the work I have done for those extracurriculars that overlap with my areas of study.

Panhellenic Recruitment

As the Vice President of Recruitment for Ball State Panhellenic, I oversaw both primary/formal recruitment and informal recruitment from Spring 2023 to Spring 2024 under the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. This job required a lot of experience in event planning and promotion, as well as skills in teamwork, communication, organization, and collaboration. With this in mind, I emphasized Panhellenic unity, inclusivity, and accessibility. I also ensured that all of the active members of the community, Recruitment Counselors, Recruitment Chairs from each chapter, and other Panhellenic Executive members were properly trained. I am incredibly proud to say that Formal Recruitment for Fall 2023 had the highest number of registrations as well as the best retention rates for recruitment since the pandemic. Continuous Open Bidding (COB) recruitment, otherwise known as informal recruitment, also had the largest number of potential new member participants and those participants received bids from their favorite chapters. To see the sheer amount of organization and communication needed to plan and execute a successful recruitment season, please click the image below.

HerCampus

Because Public Relations professionals are always working on their next pitch and crafting their newest connection with a journalist, I thought it would be useful to become a journalist. This is where I joined HerCampus, the largest magazine for college-aged women in the country. While I only joined HerCampus in September of 2023, I have already published numerous successful articles. On average, I publish one article bi-weekly, spanning across categories such as fashion, lifestyle, and career.  To get a roundup of all of my articles, click on the image below.

PRSSA - Public Relations Student Society of America

During my time with PRSSA, I have had the honor to serve as Vice President, Director of Public Relations, and Director of Member Relations. While serving as the Director of Public Relations, I revived our PR blog on the Ball State PRSSA Website, setting the first consistent schedule for blog content since pre-pandemic. As Vice President, I helped our organization to collaborate with the College of Communication, Information, and Media to organize a Mock Interview Event to coincide with the college's career fair, as well as leading Award Citation and Press Release writing for the college's Award Luncheon and Schranz Lectureship. While I oversaw the writing and editing for all citations, I had the opportunity to write the citation for the Marylin Weaver Scholastic Journalism Award recipient, Justin Peeper.
