Extracurriculars & Clubs
Throughout my college career, I was heavily involved in many organizations and extracurriculars. Below they are listed, including the various leadership positions I held in each.
Kappa Delta
Fall 2020 - Spring 2024
I joined Kappa Delta Sorority in the fall of my freshman year at Ball State University due to its two philanthropic causes: The Girl Scouts of America and Prevent Child Abuse America of Delaware County. Through Kappa Delta, I have held numerous leadership positions, including the following:
- Standards & Bylaws Committee (Fall 2020 - Spring 2021)
- Apparel Chair (Fall 2021 - Spring 2022)
- Assistant Points Chair (Fall 2020 - Spring 2021)
- Points Chair (Fall 2021 - Spring 2022)

Public Relations Student Society of America
Fall 2020 - Spring 2024
The Public Relations Student Society of America is the pre-professional version of PRSA, and Ball State's chapter of PRSSA was the first founded in the state of Indiana. As a part of PRSSA, I have held numerous leadership positions and helped to create unique initiatives such as an Event Planning Committee, which aimed to provide the department's many Event Planning & Hospitality concentration students with a way to gain real-world experience in event planning. My previous leadership roles include:
- Interim Director of Member Relations (Fall 2022)
- Director of Public Relations (Fall 2022 - Spring 2023)
- Vice President (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024)
Panhellenic Executive Council
Fall 2022 - Spring 2024
If each individual "chapter" of a sorority was considered a state, which operated using its own state government leadership, then Panhellenic would be considered the federal government, which has its own executive leadership. On this Council, I served as the Vice President of Recruitment, which meant I planned and executed both the formal and informal recruitment processes of all ten Panhellenic chapters on Ball State's campus, as well as semesterly Panehellenic Love events aimed at uniting the PHA community through teamwork and enrichment activities.
-Vice President of Recruitment (Fall 2022 - Fall 2023)
Honors Association for Community Engagement
Fall 2020 - Spring 2024
Through the Ball State Honors College, HACE engages in community service and engagement activities both on and off campus. Most notably, HACE's partnerships include the East Washington Academy Elementary School and the Muncie Mission, a local homeless shelter that aims to provide care with dignity and respect. While a member of HACE, I also served in multiple leadership roles, including:
- Director of Public Relations (Fall 2021 - Spring 2022)
- Treasurer (Fall 2022 - Spring 2023)
- Vice President (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024)
CCIM Dean's Collegiate
Advisory Council
Spring 2021 - Spring 2024
The College of Communication, Information and Media's Dean's Collegiate Advisory Council is the pre-professional council that relays information on the ongoings of student life and success to Dean Paaige Turner and the faculty/staff of CCIM. DCAC, as it is also nicknamed, also helps volunteer for various CCIM events, such as the Dean's List Ceremony, Schranz Public Relations Lectureship, the Letterman Speaker event, and more. The Council serves as the voice of the CCIM student body to the faculty in order to make the environment of the college more inclusive and accessible to students.
- President (Spring 2023 - Fall 2023)
Alpha Psi Omega
Fall 2020 - Spring 2024
Alpha Psi Omega is the Department of Theatre/Dance's co-ed fraternity that aims to raise money for student scholarships as well as volunteering at all university performances for Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids (BCEFA). Ball State's APO chapter was recognized as a Top 5 Collegian Donor for the 2021-2022 academic year, and APO at Ball State also implemented a BCEFA Week to encourage donations surrounding the Winter Holiday Season, and so hopes to be recognized as the top collegian donor for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years. While a member of APO at Ball State, I also became a national Alpha Psi Omega member in the Spring of 2023 and have served in many leadership roles in the Ball State chapter including:
- Junior Treasurer (Fall 2021- Spring 2022)
- Junior Events Chair (Fall 2021 - Spring 2022)
- Treasurer (Fall 2022 - Spring 2023)
- Events Chair (Fall 2022 - Spring 2023)
- Treasurer (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024)
- Green Room Decorating and Morale Chair (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024)
Operation Black Out Dance Club
Fall 2022 - Spring 2024
Operation Black Out is a dance club at Ball State University that caters to three various levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, as well as offering various competitive and showcase experiences. While I did not join OBO until my junior year of college, I have been placed in all of the "advanced" levels of each genre offered for OBO's classes. I have also had the honor of being selected to compete in OBO's AirJam competition team, which placed Second in the Independent Entry awards category. Each semester, OBO also puts on a university-wide show where members of the organization are able to participate in multiple dances, and every semester I have participated in at least three ensembles per show, ranging from ballet to hip hop to musical theatre.
HerCampus
Fall 2023 - Spring 2024
HerCampus is an online magazine and blog for college women, with a chapter located at Ball State University. You can check out the link to the webpage for HerCampus at Ball State but I recommend also visiting my personal author page! I have always had an incredible passion for writing, and love exercising this passion not just in my career field, but in other aspects of my life- channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw to write about fashion, pop culture, mental health and wellbeing, and more.
Phi Kappa Phi
Honors Society
Spring 2023 - Spring 2024
Phi Kappa Phi is a national honors society that connects students with professional networking, scholarship, fellowship, internship, and professional development opportunities. The society's mission is"to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engage the community of scholars in service to others." While students do not currently have the ability to occupy leadership roles in Ball State's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, they do have the ability to gain academic recognition through the society's various awards and scholarships, one of which I received in August of 2023 for demonstrating academic excellence, research experience, extracurricular and philanthropic service involvement, and professional leadership potential.
- Pioneer Award Recipient (August 2023)
Order of Omega
Spring 2021 - Spring 2024
An Honors Society for members of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Order of Omega accepts only 3% of members from Greek life into its membership based on academic success, leadership experience, and philanthropic service. I was fortunate enough to be inducted into the society after completing one year of membership in my sorority, Kappa Delta.
American Advertising Federation
Fall 2022 - Spring 2023
The American Advertising Federation at Ball State is the pre-professional advertising club that allows students to network with alumni in the advertising industry, as well as participate in agency tours and national competitions. While I was happy to participate in this organization for the academic year, they unfortunately moved meeting times to during class hours and I was unable to continue.
