USA TODAY Newspaper & Television Feature for USPA Project 19
While working with my main client, the United States Parachuting Association, I secured coverage via contact building and pitching for USA TODAY's newspaper front page and a national television segment. These pieces featured USPA's Project19, a team of women breaking a skydiving world record in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. For this singular event alone, I was able to secure coverage that had a combined rate of nearly 50 Million UVM.
Medxcel Hurricane Recovery for Healthcare Centers
One of my one-time projects while at DPR was researching and writing an article on Hurricane preparedness and recovery for healthcare facilities. The intended audience of this project was healthcare facilities, such as hospitals of emergency rooms, that use Medxcel as their insurance agency in the event of natural disasters. These articles are published on behalf of the CEO of Medxcel, while the true authors include myself and other DPR staff.
Indy Scream Park Community Calendars
While it is one simple example representing all of the Community Calendar projects I have done, including for organizations like USPA and More Than a Phone's "More Than a Tailgate" event, the Indy Scream Park community calendars were some of my favorite listings to create because I was able to find niche calendars for fans of horror, for influencers in the Indianapolis area looking for influencer marketing events, date night event calendars, and more!
ABC 10 San Diego Interview Prep Sheet for Jason Sanders
Jason Sanders, a San Diego native, broke a world record at USPA's World Championships in Arizona, and, as I was working with USPA, I built a press list and did pitching to secure this interview with Steve Smith of KGTV. This is a picture of the interview prep sheet I created for Jason, USPA, and all parties' legal teams ahead of the interview and skydive.
Massage Heights Indy FOX59 Holiday Segment for "Where's Sherman?"
Another fun opportunity I secured for a client was a segment of "Where's Sherman?" on FOX59 for my client Massage Heights Indy. This massage parlor was looking to promote its holiday deals and product/service discounts, and I was able to build the press list, write the pitch, send the pitch and organize the segment date/time with the client, and help set-up the entire shoot at the client's business. Even as an intern, I was able to also be the only DPR representation at the segment shoot, which was a huge honor and a great experience in working with clients and preparing them for television publicity.
Hillenbrand Holiday Calendar List
To help prepare for the year ahead, which was the then-looming 2023, Hillenbrand needed a calendar full of all holidays, observance days, awareness months, and more. This industry and manufacturing company asked DPR to provide a list, which I then volunteered to complete, of all observances and holidays that are both federal, national, or relevant to the company, such as Women in Manufacturing day.
